[ePalestine] Forced Migration Review 26: Palestinian displacement: a case apart?

Dear friends,

As I and many of my friends here in Palestine begin to internalize the deep anger and pain that comes with being exiled and separated from our families, it is rather interesting that the current issue of Forced Migration Review deals with Palestinian refugees.  As quoted from the journal:

"Three-quarters of the Palestinian people are displaced. Approximately one in three refugees worldwide is Palestinian. More than half are displaced outside the borders of their historic homeland."

Please take some time and read about the majority of the Palestinian people.

Struggling to stay, but preparing to part,
Sam

Forced Migration Review

The August 2006 issue includes a major feature on Palestinian displacement. Twenty-eight articles by UN, Palestinian and international human rights organisations, Palestinian scholars in the diaspora and Jewish and Israeli activist groups examine the root causes of the displacement of Palestinians, the consequences of the failure to apply international humanitarian law in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and Palestinian entitlement to protection and compensation.
